Need to know the best places in Melbourne for all your professional beauty treatments? All salons listed below have been tried and tested by me and have my personal tick of approval!

Manicure/Pedicure

French Pink

Galleria Building, Corner Bourke Street and Elizabeth Street, Melbourne

www.frenchpink.com.au

This lovely little salon specialises in natural nail care so you won’t have to put up with any nasty chemical smells. Wide range of polishes from Essie and Butter London and a free nail file and cuticle stick with every visit. Walk-ins accepted, but best to make a booking as this place is getting pretty popular!

OPI Nail Bar

David Jones Cosmetics Floor, Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne

This nail bar is ideal for walk-ups or you can reserve a spot then continue shopping while you wait. Offers everything from a basic file and polish to a deluxe manicure. Best part is the choice of shades – any of the hundreds of polishes in the OPI range!

Hair

Claire Francoise Salon

304 Flinders Lane, Melbourne

www.clairefrancoise.com.au

Friendly and unintimidating salon with highly-trained and on trend staff, doing hair, waxing and tanning. CFS has a great membership program and you can book all of your appointments online. Cut and blow dry starts at $59, colour (long hair) starts at $79. Take advantage of Glamour Fridays for a $30 blow dry!

Blow Dry Bar

480 Collins Street, Melbourne

www.blowdrybar.com.au

Great place to prepare for a special night out or for a pick-me-up. The staff are super-friendly and the blow dry is cheap – $35 regardless of hair length!

Facial

Glam Beauty Bar

55 Homer Street, Moonee Ponds

www.glambeautybar.com

This place literally saved my skin. Friendly, knowledgeable staff with the latest in beauty products and technology. I recommend the Dr Spiller facial and the Anti-Couperose facial. Check out the website for great monthly specials!
